After getting my license I trained as an assistant for eighteen months with Salon Bravissimo in Sacramento. The program emphasized Vidal Sassoon haircutting and coloring techniques. I worked under Scot and Kathleen Clark and Rhonda Ulhinger. This rigorous training gave me a solid foundation as a stylist.

Since that time I have developed a large and dedicated client base. New referrals often come to me having seen a hairstyle on one of my clients off the street. My clients have included a few local celebrities and distinguished members of the community, but hey, everybody has to get their hair cut. I also participate in fashion shows, cutting and styling for models. I find all of this gratifying.

Although styles have come and gone, I've kept current with trends by taking cutting edge classes in my field. I also teach haircutting classes at my salon and mentor new talent.
I love my job. This has been an exciting career, one which I hope to pursue for many more years. I love working with people and creating an image for them that gives them confidence.
